Mineral resource
The Miner Mountain property, 100% owned by Sego Resources Incorporated, is located at the southern end of the Quesnel Terrane, a belt of Devonian to Jurassic island arc volcanic and volcano-sedimentary rocks and associated intrusions that locally host economically important alkalic copper-gold porphyry deposits. This terrane was accreted to the North American craton during the Jurassic period. Widespread glacial till cover has impeded past exploration, though significant progress has been made through extensive use of geophysics (EM, magnetics, IP), drilling (shallow percussion and diamond holes) and backhoe trenching to bedrock. At least three centres of hypogene copper-gold mineralisation (Cuba, Granby and South) have been identified at Miner Mountain, with copper mineralisation at the Regal Zone being hosted in a tectonically dislocated block lying over Quaternary sediments. Additional early-stage exploration targets have been identified in the North, Quintana and Schissler Zones. Copper-gold mineralisation at Cuba is hosted by a fine grained, early mineral (?) intrusion of diorite composition that displays remnants of potassic, calc-potassic and chlorite-magnetite alteration with well-developed disseminated chalcopyrite. Copper grades frequently exceed 1% when well-preserved, with pXRF values of up to 2.5% Cu in areas of well-developed finely disseminated chalcopyrite. High grade copper mineralisation has been observed in drill core over a strike length of 450m within an IP chargeability feature ~1200m long. This mineralisation appears to be open along strike both to the WNW and ESE and is also open at depth.

["Project: Miner Mountain Commodity(s): Au, Cu, Ag Stage: Advanced Exploration","Quintana Zone: This zone is to the north of the Cuba Zone and is covered by a thick blanket of till with no outcrop. It has been defined as a coincident magnetic low and chargeability high. It lies between two well defined magnetic linears. A single trench and 10 percussion drill holes tested the zone in 2013. K-feldspar, transitional propylitic and sericite-albite-pyrite alteration assemblages have been recognized in percussion drill cuttings in the Quintana Zone. In the eastern margin of the pyrite zone is associated with clay alteration. This alteration has led us to plan diamond drilling of the Quintana Zone.","Southern Gold Zone: The Southern Gold Zone (SGZ) measures ~300 m long and ~115 m wide that carries 0.16 g/t Au to 1.08 g/t Au over 10.4 to 94.2 m. The zone is open to depth and is hosted in units of the Nicola Group. The SGZ bounded on the north and south by faults and is hosted in altered diorite, microdiorite and micro-monzodiorite bodies or monzonite dikes. South of the southern fault are hornfelsed or weakly altered volcanics and sediments and across the northern fault a large monzonite stock intrudes tuffs, lapilli tuffs and andesites. The New Afton deposit is very similar to this setting with a gold zone offset from the copper-gold deposit. Alteration is variable and consists of moderate to strong pervasive chlorite-carbonate ± sericite alteration and patches of more local K-feldspar and albite strong alteration in the SGZ. Coarser-grained epidote-pyrite and more typical propylitic alteration are peripheral to the SGZ. In the SGZ disseminated primary magnetite is generally oxidized to hematite, very fine-grained disseminated pyrite is common, chalcopyrite is seen in thin sections and more prevalent in the higher gold values, and the distribution of opaques are not uniform. The SGZ is bounded by the southern and northern faults and may have displaced the zone at depth. Inclusions of chalcopyrite in pyrite, 10 m of >0.1% Cu, copper mineralization in DDH 55 and deep inverted coincident magnetic-chargeability highs south of the SGZ suggest the potential of a blind porphyry Cu-Au mineralization to the north and related to SGZ zone. A perched gold zone has been observed in several Alkalic Porphyry Cu-Au deposits including New Gold’s New Afton Deposit."]
