About
MAX Power was first-mover in Natural Hydrogen in Canada in mid-2024 and has expanded on that leadership with an important breakthrough in the targeting of the world’s first large-scale commercial discovery of this emerging new primary energy source. MAX Power has confirmed Canada’s first Natural Hydrogen subsurface system through drilling with the Lawson Discovery announced January 16, 2026. This marks a major milestone in the global development of a potential game-changing new clean energy source. The Lawson well near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, is now in a program of analytical testing, resource modelling, and resource estimation, to be followed later in H1 2026 by a confirmatory well to test, validate, and quantify the commercial viability of the project. Notably, the discovery at Lawson underscores the vast scale potential of the 475-km-long Genesis Trend whose entire eastern border flanks the all-important Prairie Evaporite (the “Salt Barrier”) hosting the world’s largest reserves of potash. MAX Power owns the largest permitted land package in Canada for the exploration and development of Natural Hydrogen – 1.3 million acres, with another 5.7 million acres under application, and is well-funded for a multi-well drill program and other initiatives in 2026 after just completing a C$20.5 million raise led by Eric Sprott. Armed with advanced geological and prospect ranking tools, and an industry-leading team of geoscientists, engineers and operators, MAX Power is ready to make history as a proven leader in the global Natural Hydrogen movement that aims to deliver clean, reliable, affordable baseload energy at scale. MAX Power, through its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, also owns the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona where the company confirmed a drilling discovery in early 2024. MAX Power’s plan is to have this lithium asset advanced by its U.S. subsidiary, to be known as “Homeland Critical Minerals”, as a standalone public company on a Canadian exchange in 2026. MAX Power shareholders would benefit from the unlocking of the value of this asset and a potential distribution of shares in this American-focused critical minerals play. MAX Power is leading the way in Natural Hydrogen – join us on our exciting 2026 journey!

- MAX Power is advancing Canada’s largest permitted land package for Natural Hydrogen exploration and development with the country’s first-ever deep drilling specifically targeting Natural Hydrogen, starting along the massive Genesis Trend contiguous to an Industrial Corridor and proposed Hydrogen Hub. The Lawson well has confirmed Canada’s first Natural Hydrogen system with hydrogen concentrations up to 286,000 ppm (28.6% H₂) and evidence of a potentially large reservoir with strong drive mechanism. Resource modelling and estimation is expected to commence shortly.

- ["Lawson: Canada's First Dedicated Natural Hydrogen Well - First mover, first well: Lawson is designed as Canada’s first deep well specifically targeting Natural Hydrogen, initiating a multi-well program across MAX Power’s ~1.3 million acres – the largest permitted Natural Hydrogen land package in the country with another 5.7 million acres under application. Complete five-element system: At Lawson, integrated datasets indicate the five critical elements for a potential accumulation – source rocks, migration pathways, reservoirs, seals, and traps – are all present, in addition to 4-way closure; Data-driven targeting: Lawson has been refined with ~180 line-km of vintage and proprietary 2D seismic, regional aeromagnetics/gravity, subsurface mapping, and other data processed by MAX Power’s in-house Prospect Ranking Tool.","Grasslands Project - Following its discovery at Lawson, MAX Power commenced drilling its second well in Saskatchewan in late February on its Grasslands Project near the Montana border. The “Bracken” target is located approximately 325 km southwest of Lawson in an area of the province where MAX Power’s geological team first identified a rare rock assemblage in the basement complex believed to be associated with Western Canada’s first known deep subsurface occurrence of Natural Hydrogen, ahead of the Lawson Discovery. Bracken represents a “stratigraphic” play concept where drilling is targeting the “pinch-out” of what’s interpreted to be a large reservoir based on 34.3 line kilometres of newly acquired proprietary 2-D seismic data combined with legacy 2-D seismic. Stratigraphic trapping can support laterally extensive Natural Hydrogen accumulations which, if confirmed, may have meaningful implications for volume potential and system continuity.","Rider Project - MAX Power’s original Rider Project has been extended eastward to the Manitoba border to cover favorable geophysical anomalies and basement architecture/exotic terranes that tie in with MAX Power’s broader exploration requirements for Natural Hydrogen that prospective areas in terms of potential volume must exhibit clear opportunity for size, scalability and sustainability. The presence of deep-seated faults and structural features like domes and arches may have facilitated the upward migration of hydrogen, acting as conduits from the basement rocks into overlying formations where it may have accumulated.","Choiceland - MAX Power has acquired exploration permits covering a significant part of the Choiceland area of north-central Saskatchewan following receipt of a research report from a consulting geologist regarding the potential for generation of hydrogen in a 43-km belt of iron formations between Choiceland and Nipawin."]
