["On July 27, 2023, the Canadian Transportation Agency authorized CN to proceed with the construction of the Jansen Rail Spur. Located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, this new track will connect the Joint Access Spur (JAS) north of the Village of Jansen to the CN Watrous Subdivision east of the Town of Nokomis, Saskatchewan. This 47 km long spur will facilitate the movement of potash from the BHP Jansen mine to international markets through a west coast port in British Columbia. The project will bring significant economic value to neighbouring communities. The new rail line is expected to be in service by late 2026. CN is committed to work collaboratively with communities throughout the construction project, and to provide regular updates on the project’s progress."]
