Teri McKibbon President & Chief Executive Officer Teri joined Bird in June 2017 in the role of Chief Operating Officer as part of our executive leadership team. In July of 2019, Teri was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. He has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, where he is recognized for his strategic capabilities, dedication, and operational excellence. Prior to joining the company, Teri spent two decades holding senior management and executive positions with a national Canadian general contractor, including the role of President and CEO in the last two years of his tenure. Teri is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and serves on various boards and committees in Calgary. He is also certified by the Canadian Construction Association as a Gold Seal Project Manager. Wayne Gingrich Chief Financial Officer Wayne obtained his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, with a minor in economics. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and attained his Certified Management Accountant designation in 2000. He joined Bird Construction in 2016 and assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer. With almost 30 years of experience in finance and accounting functions, Wayne has spent the last 20 years as a financial executive in the engineering, and construction (E&C) sector. Prior to joining Bird, he served as the CFO for a large national engineering consulting company. Previously, Wayne had worked in a variety of finance roles for a number of multinational, publicly traded engineering and professional services firms. Wayne completed the Directors Education program at the Rotman School of Management in Toronto and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He received his ICD.D designation in 2020. He previously served as a Board Member for two firms operating in the E&C sector and has also been a Board Member and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee of a charitable organization. Gilles Royer Chief Operating Officer Gilles joined Bird as a summer student though the University of Alberta’s Civil Engineering Co-op program in 1991. He then joined the company on a full-time basis upon his graduation in 1994. He has continued to advance through the company, undertaking progressively senior positions. In 2009, he was promoted to the role of Edmonton District Manager and has since served as Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President – Industrial. In 2018, he was inducted into Bird’s 25-Year Club. In 2020, he was appointed to his current role of Chief Operating Officer. Gilles has been involved in some of the most significant projects undertaken by the company and has deep knowledge of Bird’s operations and business. He has successfully and strategically grown the business, enhancing relationships with key clients, and advancing diversification and performance objectives. Gilles is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Gilles serves on the David and Joan Lynch School of Engineering Safety and Risk Management Industry Executive Board and has served as a Director of the Fort McMurray Construction Association. Brian Henry Chief People Officer Since joining Bird Construction in 2020 as the Chief People Officer, Brian Henry has served as a driving force behind the company’s transformative, people-centric strategy. During his tenure at Bird, the company has elevated the employee experience, improved engagement and retention, and fostered a culture of collaboration, high performance, inclusion, and employee development. Prior to his role at Bird Construction, Brian held the position of Chief People Officer at KFC Canada, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands. Under his leadership, KFC Canada experienced unprecedented growth and earned recognition as a Certified Best Place to Work in Canada for six consecutive years. Brian brings over two decades of experience in Human Resources leadership, having held key roles in reputable organizations such as Yum Brands!, SC Johnson, Dell Technologies, and Bond Brand Loyalty (formerly Maritz Canada). Brian’s educational background includes a Business Administration Diploma from Mohawk College, complemented by his Human Resources designation obtained from the University of Toronto and Queen’s University. Since 2021, Brian has served as a member of the Mohawk College Board of Governors. Additionally, he is a certified Master Practitioner for Heartstyles, a program designed to cultivate character and drive effective behaviour in leaders. Yonni Fushman Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer Yonni brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the Industrial, Infrastructure, and Buildings sectors. As Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, he leads Bird’s Legal & Risk Management, Strategic Development, and M&A teams. Throughout his career, Yonni has held senior executive roles with responsibility for a diverse global portfolio that has included legal and risk management, commercial management, strategic development, and sustainability. He has also overseen portfolios spanning strategic procurement, project support, public affairs, Indigenous and community relations, brand and communications, and information technology. Yonni was recognized as a finalist for General Counsel of the Year in both 2019 and 2024, he serves as a judge for the Canada Law Awards, and he has consistently taken leadership positions in the industry, including as a past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Construction and Infrastructure Law section. Yonni is known for his collaborative leadership style and his ability to align legal and strategic priorities with business objectives. His deep industry knowledge and global perspective support Bird’s continued growth and diversification. Rick Begg Chief Information Officer Rick joined Bird in 2020 as Chief Information Officer to provide vision and leadership for the implementation of information technology solutions across the company. Rick brings 35 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of successfully working across different industries including Oil and Gas, Environmental, Agri-products, Consumer Electronics, Telecommunications, Software, and Manufacturing. Rick has an extensive background in Information Technology, and has led companies with transformational enterprise IT strategies including leading three successful integrations with companies valued at over $1.5b each, guiding teams through growth, change and system selection and implementation, and aligning IT operations with business strategy, goals, and innovation. Rick has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom and completed the Canada Electronic Engineering Technology Program at the RCC Institute of Technology in Toronto. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), is a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and is a Governing Body Member and Chairperson of CIO Executive Summit in Calgary. Paul Bergman Executive Vice President – Buildings East Paul has a broad range of experience working in institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors in the construction industry for the past 25 years. Paul has held numerous positions at Bird, including estimator, project manager, senior project manager, and production manager in various locations across Canada. Paul was the VP and District Manager in Winnipeg prior to relocating to the Toronto area where he assumed the role of Senior Vice President. As an Executive Vice President, he now leads the Buildings East Team, from Manitoba to the east coast. Paul obtained a Diploma in Engineering Technology from Red River College in Winnipeg. He completed his co-operative education work terms with Bird Construction and, after graduation, joined Bird’s Winnipeg district office full-time as a project coordinator. Paul is a Certified Engineering Technologist and a LEED®registered Canada Accredited Professional, and has also completed the Ivey Executive Program at The Ivey Business School at Western University. He also serves on various boards and committees. Rob McGrath Executive Vice President – Buildings West Rob joined Bird in 2024, bringing a wealth of industry experience and proven leadership across various sectors. A graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in Civil Engineering, Rob has played key roles in delivering major infrastructure projects and driving business growth across Canada. Throughout his career, he has expanded operations into new markets, increased staff capacity, and led process improvements in estimating, preconstruction, execution, and safety. His expertise in business development, project management, and strategic planning has fueled both revenue growth and market share expansion in public and private sectors. Rob has also formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Edmonton Construction Association and is a founding member of the ECA’s Young Builders Group, reflecting his commitment to advancing the industry. David Keep Executive Vice President – MRO and Commercial Systems & Utilities David has over 25 years of industry experience and a wealth of knowledge in the energy and resources sector. He has extensive experience in managing and winning large multi-year Master Service Agreements and managing multiple disciplines in brownfield environments. His leadership has solidified a high-performance MRO business and one that is highly respected by major clients. He has played a key role in the integration of operating units of Stuart Olson into one team and has built and maintained a tier 1 MRO status among clients. He is passionate about continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and relationships. David has a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Alberta, completed his PMP (Project Management Professional) credential, and has been a journeyman electrician since 1997. He is a certified Master Electrician (Electrical Safety Authority). David serves on the Board of Directors for CAREERS the Next Generation. Peter Lineen Executive Vice President – Health, Safety, and Environment With over 30 years as a safety professional, Peter brings a wealth of passion, experience and knowledge to Bird. Most recently, Peter held the position of HSE Director, Canadian Operations and Global Lead at Quanta Services Corporation, a US-based global energy infrastructure development company, where he led the design, development, and deployment of safety strategy, systems, and programs across the global organization. Peter also spent a considerable amount of time as Director of HSE with Enbridge Corporation focused on the Major Projects and the Liquids business units. Throughout his tenure, he was responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of all occupational and process safety programs associated with operating the largest crude pipeline delivery system in North America. Peter is a Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional and a past Chair of the Board of Registered Canadian Safety Professionals. He is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology Occupational Health and Safety Program. Tannis Proulx Executive Vice President – Industrial West & Major Projects Tannis joined Bird in 1998, and has over 25 years of industry experience. She has held leadership roles in every part of the organization including construction, maintenance, EPC Director, business and strategic development, and estimating. Under her leadership, Bird’s skilled trade base has grown considerably with new clients and opportunities developed across Canada. Tannis is always driven for results and is not afraid of a challenge. She is passionate about construction because it involves collaborating with people, always working through new challenges, and thriving under the pressure to perform. Tannis graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering in 1995. She currently sits on the board of directors for Edison Welding Institute (EWI) and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). Denis Bigioni Executive Vice President – Infrastructure East Denis has been in the transportation and infrastructure sector of the construction industry for over 25 years as a Director and President of Dagmar Construction Inc. In this role, Denis has worked closely with municipalities, private owners, and government agencies to deliver hundreds of millions of dollars of infrastructure projects in a cooperative, efficient, and timely manner. Dagmar was acquired by Bird in 2021, and Denis continues in his role as President within the integrated Bird environment. Denis obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1992 (B.A.Sc.) and went on to study Law at Queen’s University in Kingston where he obtained his LL.B. in 1995, and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1997. Denis has served on several committees with the Ontario Road Builders’ Association, and was Vice-Chair of the Construction Divisional Board at the Ontario College of Trades. Scott Jacob Executive Vice President – Infrastructure West/Jacob Bros After the acquisition of prominent Vancouver-based civil contractor Jacob Bros Construction in 2024, Scott brings a wealth of expertise to Bird in roadbuilding and heavy civil construction. His leadership in infrastructure projects played a pivotal role in driving early growth. Scott remains actively engaged in industry leadership, serving on the Board of Directors for the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) and as a past Chairman of the BC Roadbuilders. Adham Kaddoura Senior Vice President – Infrastructure Major Projects Adham joined Bird in 2004 as a Project Coordinator and has since taken on progressively senior roles in the areas of project delivery, construction management and operations management. He is focused on building cohesive teams that work collaboratively to strengthen client relations. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Adham has extensive experience in large scale projects and has held cross-functional roles in operations, management, and executive leadership. Most recently, he has led Bird Civil Infrastructure across Canada, playing a key role in diversifying Bird’s civil operations and expanding client offerings. He has also managed some of Bird’s largest work programs and projects in the oil and gas sector to date. Adham graduated with Honors from the Construction Engineering Technology Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1999. Prior to that, Adham had graduated from the Civil Engineering Technology also at NAIT. Adham has served as a board member of the Ft. McMurray Construction Association and serves on various construction committees as part of giving back to the community. Matt Cronin Senior Vice President – Industrial East Leading industrial operations across critical market sectors that include nuclear, hydroelectric, and renewables in eastern Canada, Matt has been an integral member of the Bird team since joining the company in 2008. Throughout his tenure, he has applied his knowledge and experience to a wide range of roles across the business and in multiple geographies. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and is LEED®registered Accredited. Currently in the role of Senior Vice President of Industrial East, Matt is leading and growing Bird’s team of industrial construction professionals to deliver exceptional value to our clients. Under Matt’s leadership, Bird has progressed its position in industrial construction throughout eastern Canada, enhancing the organization’s collective knowledge and capabilities in this unique sector. Matt is a vocal representative of the diverse needs of Canada’s growing power needs resulting from decarbonization and electrification trends. Todd Jacob Senior Vice President – Infrastructure West/Jacob Bros Following the acquisition of Jacob Bros Construction in 2024, Todd brings extensive experience in the construction industry to Bird, having held key leadership roles at both national and regional firms. He has successfully led complex commercial, mixed-use, and multi-unit residential projects, earning a reputation for his collaborative approach and attention to detail. Known for his tenacity and commitment to delivering high-quality results, Todd is recognized by clients for producing well-built, memorable finished products that meet the highest standards. Arthur Krehut Senior Vice President – Operational Services Arthur has over 25 years of industry experience and brings with him detailed knowledge of operations. He is dedicated to the development of our supervisory staff and has played a key role in the Bird Site Leadership Academy. He is extremely knowledgeable of self-perform work, labour relations, equipment and fleet services, and company processes and systems. Arthur is a graduate from the Construction Engineering Technology Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. John Wright Senior Vice President- Strategic Development Joining Bird in June 2023 as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, John brings a wealth of expertise in leading transformation worldwide across multiple industries including construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing, and transportation. Throughout his 30-year career, John has successfully delivered operational excellence through strategic planning and execution, business and cultural transformation, and executive and leadership development. Most recently the President of Leadership Development for a global training and development firm, John was a highly respected global facilitator and leader that drove business growth, organizational curriculum design and customization, and global team development. John’s unique blend of business experience and enthusiasm make him a highly-effective facilitator at the executive leadership level and trusted partner in supporting organizations to achieve their strategic objectives. During his time at the firm, John was also seconded into a large national infrastructure firm for multiple years to support their business growth trajectory. Since attaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, John has accumulated an impressive client list including renowned companies such as Nike, The New York Times, Papa John’s, Air Canada, Aecon Group Inc., Elexicon Energy, Alectra Utilities, and Metrolinx. Frank DeLuca Senior Vice President, Client Solutions Frank joined Bird in 1994 after graduating from the University of Alberta’s Civil Engineering program and has amassed nearly 30 years of industry experience since. During his time at Bird, he worked in both the project management and estimating functions across many of Bird’s business units before being promoted to senior leadership roles in Business Development and now Client Solutions. He is currently refining processes for integrating Bird’s service offering. Frank’s efforts have been integral to the growth and diversification of Bird’s business and he has been instrumental in the pursuit and negotiations of many of Bird’s major work programs. He has also been directly involved in the development of Bird’s Indigenous engagement program development. Frank has been a long-time contributor to the Construction Owners of Alberta Association where he has chaired several Best Practice Committees, leading to numerous published industry best practices. Frank is currently a Guest Director on the COAA Board of Directors. Paul Pastirik Senior Vice President, M&A Paul joined Bird in 2017 with over 25 years of experience in senior roles leading Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Business Development, and other business function teams in large construction organizations. Paul has been instrumental in building relationships with Bird’s national clients as well as leading the Marketing, Communications, and Proposal Development teams. In September 2020, Paul was appointed as the Chair of the Mohawk College Board, having served on the board over the past five years, most recently as Vice Chair. He also held board positions at Ontario Energy Board, Ovarian Cancer Canada, Utility Contractors Association, and the Ontario Energy Association. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Human Resources from McMaster University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. Paul is also a Chartered Professional Accountant. Board of Directors Paul Raboud Chair of the Board of Directors, Member of Audit Committee, Human Resources and Governance Committee, and Health, Safety & Environment Committee Paul R. Raboud is the Chair of the Board of Directors. Mr. Raboud joined Bird in 1984 in the Toronto office and progressed through Bird as a field engineer, estimator, project manager and assistant district manager. In 1990, he was appointed manager of the Vancouver District, and in 2000, returned to Toronto as Executive Vice President. He was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in March 2006 and appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2008. In June 2010, Mr. Raboud stepped down from his position as Chief Executive Officer into the role of Vice Chair of the Company. He was the Vice Chair until his retirement from that position in March 2017. Mr. Raboud was appointed as a Director in September 2008. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta where he was awarded the gold medal in civil engineering. He earned a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Alberta. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. Mr. Raboud is the Past Chair of the Ontario General Contractors Association and is a Director of Revera Inc., SilverSun Homes Limited, and Stephenson’s Holdings Inc. Richard Bird Member of Audit Committee and Member of Human Resources & Governance Committee J. Richard Bird retired from Enbridge Inc. in early 2015, having served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development, and various other roles, including: Executive Vice President Liquids Pipelines, Senior Vice President Corporate Planning and Development, and Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Bird has 30 years of experience as an officer of a number of public companies. He is Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of the Ptarmigan Charitable Foundation. He is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Investment Management Company. He was named Canada’s CFO of the Year for 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Business Administration and PhD from the University of Toronto. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Steve Edwards Member of Audit Committee and Health, Safety & Environment Committee Steven L. Edwards retired from Black & Veatch in August 2022 after a remarkable career of over 40 years. Mr. Edwards served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Black & Veatch since November 2013 and had overall responsibility for the company’s engineering, consulting, construction and related infrastructure businesses in the power, oil and gas, water, telecommunications, and food and beverage markets worldwide. Mr. Edwards joined Black & Veatch in 1978, and during his tenure was responsible for various global projects and business lines. He was named Chief Operating Officer in March 2013 before transitioning to Chairman and CEO. He was appointed to the Black & Veatch Board of Directors in 2012. With revenues of $3 billion, Black & Veatch has been consistently ranked in the top ten categories for power generation, power delivery, water infrastructure development and telecommunications in Engineering News-Record magazine and ranked in the Top 150 of the Forbes list of Largest Private Companies. The company has also been ranked the 12th largest Employee-Owned Corporation in the United States according to the National Center for Employee Ownership. Mr. Edwards graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. Mr. Edwards also currently serves as a director of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City. J. Kim Fennell Member of Audit Committee and Member of Human Resources and Governance Committee J. Kim Fennell is a veteran Silicon Valley executive, Board Director and Angel Investor/Advisor with over 35 years experience in the technology industry. He is currently Chief Business Officer of Robot.com in San Francisco, a leading last mile delivery robotics company. He is also a part time Venture Partner with True North Fund. Mr. Fennell was a CEO for 16 years at three companies and has 24 years of board experience (public & private). Mr. Fennell was at Uber Technologies in San Francisco for 5 years, most recently as the Global Head of Product Partnerships and Business Development for US & Canada until December, 2019. He had previously been CEO of deCarta, a leading mapping software company before its acquisition by Uber in March, 2015. Prior to deCarta, he held CEO positions at Pinnacle Systems and StorageWay Inc. He was an early executive at Octel, a global leader of voice technologies where he opened subsidiaries in Canada, Europe and Asia before running Octel after its acquisition by Lucent Technologies where he also became a corporate VP. Prior to Octel, he was with ROLM Corporation. Mr. Fennell’s current board of director roles include Sylogist (TSX:SYZ). Mr. Fennell previously served on the board of Ritchie Bros. (TSX, NYSE: RBA) from 2017 to April, 2022. His non-profit boards include the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, and C100 which supports tech entrepreneurs in Canada. Originally from Oakville, Ontario, Mr. Fennell graduated from Queen’s University with a B.A. (Honours); and the Stanford School of Business Executive Program. Jennifer F. Koury Chair of Human Resources and Governance Committee and Member of Health, Safety & Environment Committee Jennifer F. Koury has over 35 years of professional experience, holding various senior executive positions with BHP from 2011 to 2017. Part of her responsibilities included the development of BHP’s total rewards program for executives and employees of their Petroleum World-Wide Business. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Corporate Services for Enerplus Corp. from 2006 to 2011 where she was responsible for all Executive Compensation, Talent & Culture and Facilities Management. Ms. Koury also held senior management positions with Imperial Oil/Exxon Mobil. Ms. Koury currently serves as Chair of the Board for the Calgary Zoo, and is Co-Founder and a Director for Board Ready Women. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta and the ICD.D designation granted by the Institute of Corporate Directors. Gary Merasty Member of Human Resources and Governance Committee and Health, Safety & Environment Committee Gary Merasty is currently the CEO of the Peter Ballantyne Group of Companies (PBGOC), the investment arm for the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. Before joining PBGOC in 2021, he was an EVP and CDO with The North West Company, a publicly-traded company headquartered in Manitoba, responsible for the Construction and Project Management division, Sustainable Development Reporting, Governance, Communications and Community Relations. He also served for 7 years on the Board of Directors of the North West Company before joining the Executive Team in 2018. Mr. Merasty held a similar role with Cameco Mining Corporation as Vice President of Corporate Responsibility from 2008 to 2013. He was also the Grand Chief of the Prince Albert Grand Council, establishing them as one of Canada’s most progressive and successful Tribal Councils. In 2006, Mr. Merasty was elected to Canada’s 39th Parliament as a Member of Parliament. One of his proudest achievements was tabling a motion in the House of Commons apologizing to the survivors of the residential school era, which passed unanimously in 2007. In addition, Mr. Merasty has served on numerous boards, including the Saskatoon Airport Authority, Northern Career Quest, Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Corporation, West Wind Aviation. Mr. Merasty has served on the boards of Optek Solutions, JNE Welding & Fabrication, and AllSpace since 2022. Mr. Merasty was also appointed to the Chemtrade Logistics board of trustees in February 2024. Messier is currently the President of Reus Technologies LLC, a company focusing on the development of new technologies and also Messier Wine Holdings, a winemaking Company in Carmel, California. Between 2007 and 2015, Mr. Messier served as senior vice president for ConocoPhillips where he was responsible for global projects and global supply chain with the addition of global aviation in 2012. Before joining ConocoPhillips, Mr. Messier served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Technip USA. Beyond her corporate roles, Ms. Angelle is actively engaged in charitable organizations, serving on the Board of Directors and executive committees of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and Junior Achievement USA.
